10 Years of Proenza Schouler

It has been 10 years since Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez showed their first collection as Proenza Schouler. At the time they didn't think much would come from their senior thesis at Parsons, but that collection was then purchased by Barneys New York to be sold.
For this occasion they have created a line called 'First Collection' which is pieces from their first line in 2003 only to be sold at Barneys. Interestingly enough, the pieces are still very wearable even though it has been ten years. It is filled with metallics, suede, trench coats and silhouettes that are still very on trend.

Along with this collection, Jack and Lazaro designed Barneys New York window displays that show pieces from other collections over the past 10 years. Proenza Schouler is my favorite designer and I always look forward to each season to see their latest collection. It is clothes designed for the chic downtown NYC woman and they make many of their own textiles.

I can't wait to see what Proenza Schouler will design for many years to come.
