With the release of the movie The Great Gatsby this past month fashion has been greatly influenced by the 1920's. I have also been loving the 1920's but more importantly the fashion and accessories.
There is just something that is so magical about this time period and just looking at their clothing you instantly know it is the 1920's. I know this movie has been out for awhile now but I just can't get enough of it. Recently I have been obsessing over the head pieces and hats they wore. Daisy Buchanan wore a beautiful headband that inspired me to make a few of my own out of lace, ribbon, beads and tiny pieces from costume jewelry. To make one of these you just need to know how to hand sew and it is all quite simple.
1920's fashion is so glamorous and exquisitely made that it will always be a source of inspiration for designers. Also, I loved The Great Gatsby so much I thought it would be fun to have a themed party with my friends and I am sure I am not the only one who has had a Gatsby themed party this past year. I can't wait to see what my friends will be wearing.
