London Fashion Week

London Fashion Week
A known fact in the fashion industry is that it moves FAST. With that being said, London Fashion Week is ending tomorrow and then on to the next city. I have absolutely loved the collections my favorite designers have created. For some reason, these collections scream spring more than New York fashion week did, but that is just my opinion, I will let you decide.

Burberry Prorsum displayed their collection today and they so kindly had a live feed of the show on their website that you can check out now on their website. They are by far one of my favorite designers because Christopher Bailey really knows how to put a whole show together. He usually has the newest musicians playing for the show like last season having British musician, Tom Odell play his song, Hold Me, live. Also, the color palette was just exactly what I think of when I think of spring; soft pastels and no loud prints. Their jackets were a new and fresh way to think of their signature trench coat.

English brand Mulberry usually has a very clean and polished look. This collection played with the English stately feel the collection is known for as well as a touch of the sixties. I always see pictures of celebrities wearing Mulberry and now I know why. The clothes are easy and wearable while also being for the high fashion woman. This was creative director Emma Hills last collection after 6 years and she has done a fabulous job of establishing Mulberry as a top brand in fashion.

Another designer I love is Matthew Williamson because he always delivers a fun and vibrant collection full of new silhouettes. This collection was great because most of the looks, including the dresses, had pockets and anything with pockets is amazing in my opinion. There were a lot of different prints in various colors but they all seemed to go together so effortlessly. He felt that the clothes should reflect the woman he designs for who is growing up now and no longer constantly on vacation, but she continues to be a fun and free spirited girl.
